I received several injuries while on active duty in the Army, including multiple knee injuries and breaking my back twice. Going up and down stairs, and even walking across uneven ground was painful. I relied heavily on a cane as I was a fall risk, with falls and near-falls on a daily basis.
I began with Kirk as a personal trainer in Sandpoint in 2018. In just a short time of working with him, I quit using my cane and was able to go up and down the stairs in my home without pain or worry of falling. Weight loss was a welcome side effect to the work on balance, strength and stamina that Kirk had developed for me.
The lockdowns for the pandemic meant an end to our work. As expected, losing weight and keeping it off requires constant work, however, balance and stamina are the main reasons I went to Kirk in the beginning.
As of now, I am still free of my cane, am able to navigate stairs and rough terrain, and have not had a fall in several months (and that fall was due to ice, not balance).
Without hesitation, I recommend Kirk Reynolds for your personal training needs. He is caring, understanding, and develops a plan for you with all of your limitations in mind (physical and mental). He will push you hard to progress, but will not push you beyond what you can perform and will never push you so hard as to injure or reinjure yourself.
When time allows, I will return to training with Kirk, this time with my primary goal as taking and keeping the weight off. He was already successful with my previous goals, so I look forward to another rewarding experience.
